Referring Your Patients for Therapy and Other Clinical Services

Are you a medical or mental health provider interested in referring to our practice?

Thank you for choosing BHD! We know you have many choices in referral partners and are honored you've selected us to take exceptional care of your patients.

How to refer:

You may refer to us by doing one of the following:

  • Give the patient our direct information

    • Provide the patient with one of our business cards. (If you need cards, contact Madi, and she’ll send them your way!)

    • Give the patient our contact information: 214-383-8145 or info@behavioralhealthdallas.com

  • Send a fax referral to 972-845-1089 and Madi will contact the patient within 24 hours of receipt. (Formal referral not required)

If you’re not sure if we are the right fit for your patient or if you are concerned about the well-being of a patient you refer, feel free to reach out to us and we  can provide same-day feedback and support.

Tips for making a successful referral:

  • If you send a fax referral, make sure the patient is aware of who we are and why therapy services are important for them.

  • Refer to BHD as a practice as opposed to a specific provider - this allows us to set up the patient with the best clinical fit.

  • Let the patient know ahead of time that we are out-of-network and do not accept insurance.

Things to know:

  • Madi, our full-time Office Manager and Intake Coordinator, is available Monday - Friday to support your team and our shared patients.

  • When you send a referral over we contact your patient within 24 hours and with the patient’s permission, provide you with feedback on their status.

  • When a patient calls for the first time or if we are contacting your referral, they will engage in a provider matching process to ensure they are matched with the best fit clinician.

  • If we determine we're not the right fit for the patient, we'll provide them with clearly defined and appropriate referral sources. No referral will be turned away empty handed.

  • If your patient provides authorization, we will provide you with regular updates on treatment progress and planning.

If you have any questions about our practice or would like to talk to Dr. Sardone, Madi, or a specific provider before referring, please get in touch at 214-383-8145 or email us at info@behavioralhealthdallas.com
