Michelle McFarlin, MS, CCC-SLP

Certified Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist

Michelle McFarlin, MS, CCC-SLP, is a certified speech-language pathologist specializing in early childhood language, social communication, and autism spectrum disorder. She holds degrees in psychology and mathematics from Southern Methodist University and a master’s degree in communication disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas–Callier Center for Communication Disorders. With over 25 years of experience in research, clinical practice, and program development, she has provided assessment, intervention, and education to young children with communication challenges and their families.

Ms. McFarlin is the founder/owner and clinical director of Social Communication Connection, a private practice in Dallas, Texas, specializing in early childhood speech, language, and social communication challenges. In addition to her clinical work, she has consulted for state legislatures on evidence-based social skills programming and presented at numerous local, state, and national organizations on early childhood speech, language, and social communication development. Over the past 25 years, she has co-authored curricula, assessment tools, and professional publications, and served as a faculty associate and clinical supervisor at UT Dallas–Callier.

Ms. McFarlin has dedicated her career to advocating for, researching, designing, and implementing innovative, highly individualized evaluation and therapy programming to support optimal outcomes for children with speech-language and social communication challenges.
