Dr. Monica Garza Saenz is a bilingual (English/Spanish) provider who is passionate about supporting clients navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and life transitions. She offers therapy that is both compassionate and evidence-based, helping individuals deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationships. Her practice is grounded in mindfulness-based techniques, ACT, family systems, and somatic interventions, with a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach that recognizes and honors the experiences, identities, and values each client brings to therapy.
Dr. Garza Saenz also has expertise in comprehensive psychological evaluations for children under 12 years of age, offering assessments for developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and learning differences. Dr. Garza Saenz conducts evaluations in English and Spanish and is committed to providing families with diagnostic clarity and thoughtful, individualized recommendations to guide treatment planning and support their child’s growth.
Dr. Garza Saenz earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, an APA-accredited program, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Health Center for Autism Care. Her clinical training included providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy across inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient programs, as well as working in medical settings like the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and hospital-based consult-liaison teams. She has also supported healthcare professionals through mindfulness groups designed to promote resilience and well-being.
Dr. Garza Saenz will be accepting new patients starting October of 2025.
