Dr. Monica Garza Saenz is a bilingual Licensed Psychologist fluent in English and Spanish, with conversational proficiency in French and Portuguese. She is dedicated to providing a compassionate, evidence-based approach to care for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her clinical practice integrates family systems techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and somatic interventions. She maintains a trauma-informed and culturally responsive perspective that honors the experiences, identities, and values of each individual. Dr. Garza Saenz is in the process of completing her certification in Maternal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International and obtaining her Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact License (Psypact).
Dr. Garza Saenz offers therapy services for those navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, and eating disorders. With advanced training in pediatric development and behavior, she specializes in supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental or behavioral concerns of children age 2-17.
She also provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for children under 12, including specialized assessments for developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and learning differences. Conducting evaluations in both English and Spanish, she is committed to giving families diagnostic clarity along with thoughtful, individualized recommendations to guide treatment planning and foster their child’s growth.
Dr. Garza Saenz earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, an APA-accredited program, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Health Center for Autism Care. Her training included providing individual, family, and group therapy across inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings, as well as working in medical environments such as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and hospital-based consult-liaison teams. She has also facilitated mindfulness groups for healthcare professionals, helping them build resilience and support their well-being.
Dr. Garza Saenz will be accepting new patients starting October of 2025.
