Licensed Professional Counselor

Ms. Alyssa Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in psychotherapy for individuals from adolescence through older adulthood. She has a particular interest working with anxiety, chronic health conditions, traumatic brain injury, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), life transition adjustments, and perinatal mental health issues. Ms. Jones provides supportive, individualized, and evidence-based treatment with a commitment to provide compassionate care for both individuals and families. Her diverse experience spans medical centers, outpatient mental health and medical clinics, private practice, and charter schools. 

Ms. Jones earned her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s School of Health Professions. She maintained certification as a rehabilitation counselor from 2014 until 2024. During her graduate studies, she provided psychological assessments and treatment for individuals with the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation Services (now known as Texas Workforce Commission). She also completed training as a psychometrist conducting neuropsychological testing to individuals with varying cognitive presentations. 

After graduation, Ms. Jones completed her licensure training with various private practices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area while working as a psychometrist at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Upon obtaining full licensure, she primarily practiced in outpatient health clinic settings. Ms. Jones looks forward to joining Behavioral Health Dallas in April 2025 and is licensed to practice in Texas.
