Alyssa Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing psychotherapy to adolescents through older adults. She specializes in anxiety, chronic health conditions, traumatic brain injury, ADHD, life transitions, caregiver support, and perinatal mental health. Ms. Jones offers individualized, evidence-based care with a strong emphasis on compassion and collaboration. Her professional experience includes medical centers, outpatient mental health and medical clinics, private practice, and charter schools.
Ms. Jones has specialized expertise in perinatal mental health, supporting individuals through fertility challenges, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. She works with clients navigating grief, emotional transitions, and mood and anxiety disorders such as postpartum depression and anxiety, using evidence-based interventions to support adjustment to parenthood.
With extensive experience supporting individuals with ADHD across the lifespan, Ms. Jones helps adolescents, college students, and adults develop practical strategies for executive functioning, emotional regulation, time management, and relationships. Her approach emphasizes strengths-based understanding and sustainable systems for daily functioning.
Ms. Jones is also dedicated to caregiver support, providing a safe and empathetic space for individuals caring for loved ones with chronic illness, aging-related needs, or disabilities. She helps caregivers manage emotional and physical demands while prioritizing their own well-being.
Ms. Jones earned her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s School of Health Professions and maintained certification as a rehabilitation counselor from 2014 to 2024. She completed her licensure training in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and worked at UT Southwestern Medical Center as a psychometrist and Licensed Professional Counselor for nine years before transitioning to private practice.
