Dr. Sarah Hosseini is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in clinical health psychology. Dr. Hosseini utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to deliver comprehensive, holistic care. She provides individual therapy to teens, adults, and older adults. Dr. Hosseini earned a Primary Care Behavioral Health certification from University of Massachusetts. She also completed a certificate in the specialty of Maternal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.
Dr. Hosseini is skilled in providing individualized, evidence-based treatment to diverse individuals. Her practice includes an empathetic and collaborative approach to therapy. Dr. Hosseini has worked with individuals, groups, and families in various settings, including primary care clinics, medical centers, outpatient mental health clinics, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. She has experience providing assessment and treatment for a range of clinical presentations, including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, trauma-related disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, grief, and loss. She also enjoys working with individuals coping with comorbid medical conditions as well as those struggling with treatment adherence and self-advocacy.
Dr. Hosseini completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University, an APA-accredited program. While engaged in the doctoral program, Dr. Hosseini taught several graduate-level courses, including assessment, therapy, and research-focused courses. She also completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, where she specialized in primary care behavioral health and health psychology. She also obtained advanced training in psychological assessment, psychotherapy, pre-surgical evaluation, supervision, and medical/psychiatric resident education. Dr. Hosseini received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University and her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University.
Dr. Hosseini is licensed in Texas (her home state). She has been approved by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards and the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) to provide teletherapy to individuals in the following states:
